Ireland get 138–run target vs BD

NOTTINGHAM: The great fielding and bowling of Ireland contained the batting line of Bangladesh to 137 runs in World Twenty20 group A match against Bangladesh at Trent Bridge here on Monday.

Ireland took complete hold over the game and got 138–run target.

Mashrafe Mortaza was the highest scorer who hit 33 runs, followed by Tammim Iqbal who scored 22. Rahim and Ashraful added to the total 14 runs each.

DT Jhonston was the most successful bowler from Ireland who took three wickets for 20 runs; while, West, Cusack and McCallan got one wicket each.

Earlier, Ireland's captain William Porterfield won the toss and elected to field.
